Mile-High City

Aptly nicknamed the "Mile-High City," Denver sits at an altitude of 1,600 m (5,280 ft) above sea level, located right where the Great Plains give way to the Rocky Mountains.
Venture out of the city with trips to Colorado Springs (Garden of the Gods & Cheyenne Mountain Zoo) and Idaho Springs (Summit Lake Park & River Rafting & Tubing). And it doesn't end there: take in the awesome beauty at Mount Evans, look and learn at Denver Museum of Nature & Science, take in nature's colorful creations at Denver Botanic Gardens, and steep yourself in history at Molly Brown House Museum.

Wilmington to Denver is an approximately 7.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and subway. The time zone difference when traveling from Wilmington to Denver is minus 2 hours. Traveling from Wilmington in July, plan for little chillier nights in Denver, with lows around 60°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 9th (Fri) early enough to travel back home.
