Sitting at an elevation of 2,135 m (7,000 ft) and just a short trip from the Grand Canyon and other natural wonders, the city of Flagstaff attracts outdoor enthusiasts from around the world.
On the 6th (Sun), explore the stunning scenery at Walnut Canyon National Monument and then indulge your thirst for a good beer at Historic Brewing Company.

Palm Springs to Flagstaff is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Known as "The Yellow Rose of Texas," Amarillo was once a series of ranches.
Kick off your visit on the 8th (Tue): take an in-depth tour of Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum. Here are some ideas for day two: don't miss a visit to Cadillac Ranch, then wander the wide-open spaces of Cowgirls and Cowboys in the West, and then take a stroll through U.S. Route 66 - Sixth Street Historic District.
