Set deep in the Ouachita Mountains, the city of Hot Springs almost completely surrounds the national park of the same name.
Get some historical perspective at Fordyce Bathhouse and Anthony Chapel. Visiting Petit Jean State Park and Cedar Falls Trail will get you outdoors. And it doesn't end there: whizz through the canopy at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks, relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas, appreciate the extensive heritage of Bathhouse Row, and gain insight at Garland County Library.

Little Rock to Hot Springs is an approximately 1-hour car ride. You can also do a combination of bus and taxi; or do a combination of train and taxi. In March in Hot Springs, expect temperatures between 64°F during the day and 43°F at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 24th (Wed) so you can go by car to Little Rock.

Once inhabited by Native American tribes, today Little Rock bustles with nearly 800,000 people.
On the 25th (Thu), contemplate the long history of Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site, then contemplate the long history of William J. Clinton Presidential Library, then look for all kinds of wild species at Pinnacle Mountain State Park, and finally pause for some photo ops at Testament: The Little Rock Nine Monument.
