Circle City

Indiana's capital and most populous city, Indianapolis is best known for its racecar events and impressive museums, and as the hometown of Kurt Vonnegut.
For shopping fun, head to The Fashion Mall at Keystone or Centerville Antique Mall. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Mallow Run Winery and Buck Creek Winery. Venture out of the city with trips to Nashville (Brown County Winery & Bear Wallow Distillery), Madison (Lanier Mansion State Historic Site & History Center) and Richmond Historic Depot District (in Richmond). Next up on the itinerary: explore the engaging exhibits at Children's Museum of Indianapolis, learn about winemaking at Easley Winery, admire the striking features of Indianapolis Public Library - Central Library, and look for gifts at Goose The Market.

Expect a daytime high around 84°F in August, and nighttime lows around 65°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 19th (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
