The River City

The sprawling city of Jacksonville is not only Florida's most populous city, but also the largest city by land area in the continental United States.
Bring the kids along to Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens and Flagler College. Change things up with these side-trips from Jacksonville: St. Augustine (Ghost & Vampire Tours, The Ximenez-Fatio House, &more) and Castillo de San Marcos National Monument (in Saint Augustine Beach). Next up on the itinerary: browse the exhibits of The Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens, enjoy some diversion at Ed Austin Regional Park, and pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.
