For All Seasons
The crown jewel of the state of New Jersey, the Jersey Shore is famous for its many boardwalks and amusement parks offering hundreds of rides and attractions. For many New Jersey natives, going "down the shore" is a weekly habit, though this 200 km (120 mi) stretch of coastline attracts more than just locals. The region is a growing favorite with foreign visitors on vacation, drawn by its rich assortment of places to visit, including beaches, shops, and restaurants. The shore's many oceanfront communities, each with a different character and flavor, range from vibrant resorts entirely dedicated to gambling and clubbing, to small towns known primarily for quieter, family-oriented activities.
