Kentucky’s largest city, Louisville, is best known as the home of the Kentucky Derby.

Kick off your visit on the 12th (Fri): gain some tasty knowledge on a distillery tour. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: see the interesting displays at Kentucky Derby Museum, sample the fine beverages at Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co, then see the interesting displays at Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, and finally sample the fine beverages at Angel's Envy Distillery.

Columbus to Louisville is an approximately 3.5-hour car ride. You can also take a bus; or fly. In February, Louisville is somewhat warmer than Columbus - with highs of 47°F and lows of 29°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 13th (Sat) to allow enough time to drive to Lexington.

Known internationally as the "Horse Capital of the World," Lexington boasts a thriving economy resting largely on its thoroughbred racehorse industry.

On the 14th (Sun), experience rural life at Old Friends at Dream Chase Farm, sample the fine beverages at Barrel House Distillery, then brush up on your knowledge of spirits at James E. Pepper Distillery, and finally indulge your thirst for a good beer at West Sixth Brewing. You can drive from Louisville to Lexington in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In February, daily temperatures in Lexington can reach 47°F, while at night they dip to 28°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 15th (Mon) early enough to go by car back home.
