Monterey is a city in the U.S. state of California, on the southern edge of Monterey Bay on California's Central Coast. Here are some ideas for day two: admire the majestic nature at Point Lobos, then take in the views from Bixby Bridge, then take in the dramatic scenery at McWay Falls, and finally enjoy the sand and surf at Pfeiffer State Beach.

Los Angeles to Monterey is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Los Angeles in April, things will get little chillier in Monterey: highs are around 64°F and lows about 48°F. On the 21st (Wed), you'll have the morning to explore before heading off to Big Sur.
