Known for its Creole cuisine, rich musical tradition, and nearby swamps and plantations, New Orleans is one of the nation's oldest cities.
You've added Mercedes-Benz Superdome, Mardi Gras World, Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, and other attractions to your itinerary. On the 1st (Fri), get a taste of local nightlife at 544 Club, get a taste of local nightlife at Boondock Saint, then get a taste of local nightlife at Spirits On Bourbon, and finally join in the after-dark buzz at Tropical Isle's Bayou Club. On the next day, catch some live jazz at 21st Amendment Bar at La Louisiane, join in the after-dark buzz at Famous Door, hunt for treasures at French Market, then look for gifts at Southern Candymakers - Main Store, then see the interesting displays at Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium, and finally stop by Santa's Quarters.
