National History, Local Flavor

Located just across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C., the county of Arlington blends big city and sprawling suburban environments.
Venture out of the city with trips to National Museum of the Marine Corps (in Triangle), Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center (in Chantilly) and George Washington's Mount Vernon (in Mount Vernon). There's much more to do: stroll the grounds of Arlington National Cemetery, appreciate the history behind U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial, take a leisurely stroll along Old Town Waterfront, and wander the streets of Old Town.

Norfolk to Arlington is an approximately 3-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. In March, plan for daily highs up to 55°F, and evening lows to 37°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 29th (Mon) so you can travel back home.
