Located just across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C., the county of Arlington blends big city and sprawling suburban environments.
Get out of town with these interesting Arlington side-trips: George Washington's Mount Vernon (in Mount Vernon), National Museum of the Marine Corps (in Triangle) and Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center (in Chantilly). And it doesn't end there: stroll the grounds of Arlington National Cemetery, stroll around Waterfront Park, grab your bike and head to Mount Vernon Trail, and make a trip to John F. Kennedy Grave Site.
