A major transportation hub, Omaha was once considered little more than a stopping point on a pioneer's journey west.

Escape the urban bustle at Desoto National Wildlife Refuge and Arbor Lodge State Historical Park. Do your shopping at Old Market and Curbside Clothing. Go for a jaunt from Omaha to Ashland to see Eugene T. Mahoney State Park about 36 minutes away.
