The Alamo City

As the state’s second largest city, San Antonio embodies Texas’ rich cultural heritage while maintaining the Old West charm of an oil town.
Kids will appreciate attractions like SeaWorld and Barton Springs Pool. Change things up with these side-trips from San Antonio: Austin (The Escape Game Austin & Congress Avenue Bridge / Austin Bats). There's much more to do: find something for the whole family at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, don't miss a visit to Main Plaza, admire nature's wide array of creatures at San Antonio Zoo, and get a taste of the local shopping with The San Antonio River Walk.

To see maps, other places to visit, and other tourist information, go to the San Antonio holiday site.

Fort Worth to San Antonio is an approximately 4.5-hour car ride. You can also fly; or take a bus. In July, plan for daily highs up to 98°F, and evening lows to 75°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 20th (Mon) so you can drive back home.
