Founded by the Spanish in 1521, San Juan is the oldest city under U.S.
Old San Juan and Paseo de la Princesa are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get in touch with nature at El Yunque Rain Forest and Scuba & Snorkeling. Step out of San Juan with an excursion to Luquillo Beach in El Yunque National Forest--about 46 minutes away. There's still lots to do: scramble along the landscape with a canyoning and rapelling tour, get engrossed in the history at Cathedral of San Juan Bautista, and head outdoors with Oceania Watersports.
