Fortunate People in a Fortunate Land

A famed resort town since the early 20th century, Santa Monica sits on the picturesque Santa Monica Bay, bordered on three sides by the city of Los Angeles.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Santa Monica: Santa Barbara (Wine Tours & Tastings, Old Mission Santa Barbara, &more) and Six Flags Magic Mountain (in Santa Clarita). There's still lots to do: take in the waterfront at Santa Monica Pier, kick back and relax at Santa Monica State Beach, look for gifts at Bergamot Station, and get a taste of the local shopping with Third Street Promenade.

To see where to stay, more things to do, reviews, and other tourist information, use the Santa Monica driving holiday website.

If you are flying in from Canada, the closest major aiports are Los Angeles International Airport, John Wayne Airport-Orange County Airport and Ontario International Airport. Expect a daytime high around 23°C in March, and nighttime lows around 14°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 22nd (Fri) early enough to travel back home.
