Emerald City

Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
Start off your visit on the 13th (Wed): walk around Volunteer Park Conservatory, wander the streets of Pike Place Market, then view the masterpieces at Chihuly Garden and Glass, then make a trip to Space Needle, and finally explore the wide array of goods at Nordstrom.

Nicknamed the "Entertainment Capital of the World," Las Vegas sits in the middle of a desert in the southern section of Nevada.
Start off your visit on the 14th (Thu): admire the masterpieces at Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art, admire the local landmark of Fountains of Bellagio, then admire the natural beauty at Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens, and finally get a taste of the local shopping with The Strip. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: examine the collection at The Mob Museum, take in panoramic vistas at High Roller, and then take in breathtaking views at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.

You can fly from Seattle to Las Vegas in 5.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. When traveling from Seattle in January, plan for a bit warmer days in Las Vegas, with highs around 59°F, while nights are about the same with lows around 40°F. You'll have a few hours on the 16th (Sat) to wrap things up before traveling to Pahrump.
