The Hostess City of the South

Georgia's oldest city, Savannah displays its colonial history proudly on every corner.
On the 25th (Thu), admire the striking features of Mickve Israel Temple, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, then stroll around Forsyth Park, and finally explore the different monuments and memorials at Bonaventure Cemetery.

New York City to Savannah is an approximately 6-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. Traveling from New York City in February, expect Savannah to be somewhat warmer, temps between 66°F and 45°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 25th (Thu) so you can travel to Marathon.

Heart of the Florida Keys

A tiny city just 16 km (10 mi) long, Marathon is spread across several islands in the middle of the Florida Keys.
Start off your visit on the 26th (Fri): kick back and relax at Sombrero Beach, then identify plant and animal life at The Turtle Hospital, and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Bahia Honda State Park. On the 27th (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: identify plant and animal life at Dolphin Research Center, look for all kinds of wild species at Florida Keys Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center, and then see what you can catch with a fishing tour.

You can do a combination of flight and shuttle from Savannah to Marathon in 7 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Savannah in February, you will find days in Marathon are somewhat warmer (79°F), and nights are much warmer (68°F). Finish up your sightseeing early on the 27th (Sat) so you can go by car to Key West.

Located just 140 km (90 mi) from Cuba, Key West is an island only about 6.4 km (4 mi) long and 1.6 km (1 mi) wide.
On the 28th (Sun), take a memorable drive along The Overseas Highway, steep yourself in history at Truman Little White House, and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Fort Zachary Taylor.

Traveling by car from Marathon to Key West takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In February in Key West, expect temperatures between 78°F during the day and 68°F at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 28th (Sun) early enough to travel back home.
