Charles Town, officially the City of Charles Town, is a city in Jefferson County, West Virginia, and is also the county seat. Kick off your visit on the 7th (Wed): pause for some serene contemplation at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, then trek along Appalachian National Scenic Trail, then pause for some photo ops at Monument to Heyward Shepherd, and finally try to win big at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races. On your second day here, explore the wealth of natural beauty at Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, then make a trip to The Point, and then admire the landmark architecture of Restoration Museum.
