San Antonio

The Alamo City

As the state’s second largest city, San Antonio embodies Texas’ rich cultural heritage while maintaining the Old West charm of an oil town.
Change things up with these side-trips from San Antonio: Austin (6th Street, Texas Memorial Museum, &more), San Marcos (San Marcos Premium Outlets & Dick's Classic Garage) and New Braunfels (Landa Park, New Braunfels Conservation Society, &more). There's still lots to do: Head underground at Natural Bridge Caverns, get in on the family fun at SeaWorld, take in the pleasant sights at The San Antonio River Walk, and pause for some serene contemplation at San Fernando De Bexar Cathedral.

If you are flying in from Israel, the closest major aiports are San Antonio International Airport, Austin Bergstrom International Airport and Randolph Air Force Base. In November, plan for daily highs up to 27°C, and evening lows to 14°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 28th (Sat) to allow enough time to travel back home.
