Macon is a city located in the state of Georgia, United States. Venture out of the city with trips to High Falls State Park (in Jackson), Milledgeville (Georgia's Old Governor's Mansion, Andalusia Farm, &more) and Indian Springs State Park (in Flovilla). Spend the 4th (Fri) exploring nature at Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park. Athens is a consolidated city–county in the U.S. state of Georgia, in the northeastern part of the state about an hour's drive from the global city of Atlanta, and comprising the former city of Athens proper and Clarke County.
