Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Tuzigoot National Monument and Javelina Leap Vineyard, Winery & Bistro. Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Jerome Artists Cooperative Gallery and Old Town Center for the Arts. Step out of Cornville with an excursion to Gold King Mine Museum and Ghost Town in Jerome--about 32 minutes away. Payson is a town in northern Gila County, Arizona, United States. Boyce Thompson Arboretum and Rim Country Museum are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Mogollon Rim and Horton Creek Trail. Get out of town with these interesting Payson side-trips: Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest (in Springerville), Fossil Creek Wilderness (in Camp Verde) and Strawberry School House (in Strawberry).
