Hana is one of the most isolated communities in Hawaii, with a permanent population of just over 1,000 people.
Bring the kids along to Hana Highway - Road to Hana and Hana Coast Gallery. Get out of town with these interesting Hana side-trips: Haleakala National Park (Haleakala Crater & Sliding Sands Trail), Kipahulu (Laulima Farm, Charles Lindbergh's Grave, &more) and Kula (Wailua Valley State Wayside Park & Hosmer's Grove). There's still lots to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Wai'anapanapa State Park, get engrossed in the history at Hana Cultural Center, make a trip to Kalaloa Point, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Honokalani Black Sand Beach.
