Relax by the water at Waikiki Beach and Kapiolani Regional Park. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Honolulu: Ehukai Beach Park (in Pupukea), Kailua Beach Park (in Kailua) and Ihilani Spa (in Kapolei). There's much more to do: explore the galleries of USS Arizona Memorial, buy something for everyone on your list at Ala Moana Center, stroll around Pupukea Beach Park, and take in the pleasant sights at Diamond Head State Monument.
