Lake George

— 2 nights

Queen of the American Lakes

A playground for America’s wealthy families, Lake George was nicknamed "Queen of the American Lakes." While these families often stayed in private country houses, a tourism industry built up around them in the early 20th century facilitated by two YMCAs.
Get out of town with these interesting Lake George side-trips: Square Eddy Expeditions (in North Creek) and Ticonderoga (The Falls of Carillon, Star Trek Original Series Set Tour, &more). Next up on the itinerary: contemplate the waterfront views at Lake George, kick back and relax at Million Dollar Beach, brush up on your knowledge of spirits at Lake George Distilling Company, and take a memorable tour with Tours.
