You can drive from Huntsville to Birmingham in 2 hours. Another option is to take a bus. In May, plan for daily highs up to 81°F, and evening lows to 60°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 13th (Wed) so you can travel to Orange Beach.

Orange Beach

Orange Beach exists solely as a tourist beach town, with a permanent population of less than 6,000.
On the 14th (Thu), get engrossed in the history at Holmes Medical Museum, then learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, and then cast your line with a fishing tour. Here are some ideas for day two: glide through the air with a parasailing or paragliding tour and then get up close to creatures of the deep with a dolphin and whale watching tour.

Traveling by combination of flight and taxi from Birmingham to Orange Beach takes 5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of flight and car.
