Playground of the South

A busy city on the Gulf Coast, Biloxi is one of the nation's oldest communities, first settled by Europeans in 1699.
Get some historical perspective at Bellingrath Gardens and Home and Fort Morgan State Historic Site. You'll explore and learn at Mobile Carnival Museum and GulfQuest - National Maritime Museum of the Gulf of Mexico. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Biloxi: Nature & Wildlife Tours (in Slidell), L & N Historic Train Depot (in Bay Saint Louis) and Confederate Rest Cemetery (in Point Clear). There's still lots to do: don't miss a visit to Beauvoir, examine the collection at Richards DAR House Museum, pause for some serene contemplation at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, and appreciate the history behind Joseph T. Jones Statue.

In March, daily temperatures in Biloxi can reach 69°F, while at night they dip to 54°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 29th (Fri) early enough to travel back home.
