Berkeley of the Rockies

Located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Boulder is a busy college town known for its progressive values and natural resource conservation.
Take a break from the city and head to Butterfly Pavilion and Insect Center and Hessie Trailhead. Benson Park Sculpture Garden and Golden History Museum & Park will appeal to museum buffs. Venture out of the city with trips to Fort Collins (Cathy Fromme Prairie Natural Area & New Belgium Brewing Company) and Caribou Ranch Open Space (in Nederland). And it doesn't end there: shop like a local with Pearl Street Mall, view the masterpieces at Boulder Arts and Crafts Gallery, trek along Mount Sanitas Trail, and explore the striking landscape at Flatirons.

Known as "The Yellow Rose of Texas," Amarillo was once a series of ranches.
Kick off your visit on the 20th (Mon): get a taste of life in the country at Cowgirls and Cowboys in the West, then see the interesting displays at Jack Sisemore Traveland RV Museum, and then make a trip to Cadallic Ranch.
