Springfield is the third-largest city in the state of Missouri and the county seat of Greene County. Take a break from the city and head to Lost Valley Hatchery and Rutledge-Wilson Farm Community Park. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Gay Perdita Sinclair Station Route 66 Memorabalia and Fort Leonard Wood Museum. Venture out of the city with trips to Mansfield Cemetery (in Mansfield), US Army Engineer Museum (in Fort Leonard Wood) and Redmons Candy Factory (in Phillipsburg). The adventure continues: Head underground at Sequiota Park, learn more about the world around you at Johnny Morris' Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium, and contemplate the waterfront views at Truman Lake.
