Cambria is a seaside village in San Luis Obispo County, California, United States midway between San Francisco and Los Angeles along California State Route 1 (Highway 1). On the 3rd (Thu), get a dose of the wild on Stepladder Ranch & Creamery and then contemplate the long history of Hearst Castle. On the 4th (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: stop by Friends of the Elephant Seal Visitor Center and Gift Shop, then kick back and relax at Moonstone Beach, and then admire all the interesting features of Moonstone Beach Dr.

Charlotte to Cambria is an approximately 8.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and car. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 3 hours traveling from Charlotte to Cambria. Traveling from Charlotte in March, you will find days in Cambria are somewhat warmer (72°F), and nights are about the same (41°F). Cap off your sightseeing on the 4th (Fri) early enough to go by car to Carmel.

Carmel-by-the-Sea, often simply called Carmel, is a city in Monterey County, California, United States, founded in 1902 and incorporated on October 31, 1916. On the 5th (Sat), head outdoors with Elkhorn Slough Safari, then immerse yourself in nature at Point Lobos, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Carmel River State Beach.

Getting from Cambria to Carmel by car takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of taxi, train, and bus. While traveling from Cambria, expect a bit cooler days and a bit warmer nights in Carmel, ranging from highs of 64°F to lows of 47°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 5th (Sat) to allow time to drive to San Francisco.
