Hyannis — 2 nights

"The Capital of the Cape," Hyannis serves as Cape Cod's main transportation and commercial hub.
Get in touch with nature at Shining Sea Bikeway and Nauset Beach. Popular historic sites such as Chatham Marconi Maritime Center and Highfield Hall & Gardens are in your itinerary. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Hyannis: Falmouth Museums on the Green (in Falmouth), Atwood Museum (in Chatham) and Nobska Point Lighthouse (in Woods Hole). There's still lots to do: engage your brain at Sandwich Glass Museum, examine the collection at Edward Gorey House, and steep yourself in history at Captain Bangs Hallet House Museum.

Little Rock to Hyannis is an approximately 8.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. The time zone difference moving from Central Standard Time to Eastern Standard Time is 1 hour. Expect a bit cooler temperatures when traveling from Little Rock in May; daily highs in Hyannis reach 65°F and lows reach 49°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 11th (Wed) to allow time to drive to Provincetown.

Provincetown — 2 nights

A small resort town with a year-round population of just 3,000, Provincetown draws nearly 60,000 annual visitors with its scenic beaches, art colonies, galleries, theaters, and shops.
Start off your visit on the 12th (Thu): surround yourself with nature on Art's Dune Tours, appreciate the history behind Pilgrim Monument & Provincetown Museum, and then stroll through Race Point Beach. Keep things going the next day: stroll through Herring Cove Beach and then appreciate the extensive heritage of Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary.

Drive from Hyannis to Provincetown in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In May, daytime highs in Provincetown are 63°F, while nighttime lows are 48°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 13th (Fri) to allow enough time to fly back home.
