Carmel-by-the-Sea, often simply called Carmel, is a city in Monterey County, California, United States, founded in 1902 and incorporated on October 31, 1916. Get a sense of the local culture at Pacific Grove Oceanview Boulevard and Taste Morgan. Relax by the water at Carmel River State Beach and Asilomar State Beach. Venture out of the city with trips to Joullian Vineyards & Winery (in Carmel Valley) and Mission San Juan Bautista (in San Juan Bautista). Next up on the itinerary: admire the majestic nature at Point Lobos, cruise along 17-Mile Drive, do a tasting at Cima Collina, and examine the collection at Sunset Cultural Center.
