Established in 1821 and named after a historical region in Spain, Castile is a town in Wyoming County with a neighboring village of the same name known for its rural lifestyle.
Step off the beaten path and head to Abbey of the Genesee and Darien Lakes State Park. Take a break from the city and head to Letchworth State Park and Beaver Meadow Audubon Center. Explore Castile's surroundings by going to Rushford Lake (in Rushford), Darien Lake Amusement Park (in Darien Center) and Rolling Hills Asylum (in East Bethany). There's still lots to do: stop by Angelica Sweet Shop.
