The Queen City

A rapidly growing city in central North Carolina, Charlotte is the state's largest urban center and a major regional hub for finance, industry, technology, and entertainment.
Start off your visit on the 31st (Sat): look for gifts at The Rumor Mill Market, relax in the rural setting at Carrigan Farms, then see the interesting displays at NASCAR Hall of Fame, and finally admire the masterpieces at Mint Museum Randolph. On the 1st (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: relax in the rural setting at Wise Acres Organic Strawberry Farm, then admire the natural beauty at UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens, and then take a stroll through Fourth Ward.

Orlando to Charlotte is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Prepare for slightly colder weather when traveling from Orlando in October: high temperatures in Charlotte hover around 75°F and lows are around 51°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 1st (Sun) to allow enough time to drive to Asheville.

Land of the Sky

Asheville nestles between two major mountain ranges in the scenic western section of North Carolina.
Start off your visit on the 2nd (Mon): surround yourself with nature on Tumblestone Tours and Transportation, then sample some tasty brews at BREW-ed, and then look for gifts at Asheville Bee Charmer. On the next day, cast your line with a fishing tour, get a taste of the local shopping with St.Claire Art, then indulge in some culinary diversions at a local gastronomic tour, and finally take in the exciting artwork at Blue Spiral 1.
