The Queen City

A rapidly growing city in central North Carolina, Charlotte is the state's largest urban center and a major regional hub for finance, industry, technology, and entertainment.
On the 16th (Wed), examine the collection at Millican Pictorial History Museum, get in on the family fun at Carowinds, and then stroll around Freedom Park.

Charleston to Charlotte is an approximately 3.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 88°F in June, and nighttime lows around 67°F. On the 17th (Thu), you're off to Savannah.

Georgia's oldest city, Savannah displays its colonial history proudly on every corner.
Get out of town with these interesting Savannah side-trips: Tybee Island Beach (in Tybee Island) and Hilton Head (Coligny Beach, Dolphin & Whale Watching, &more). And it doesn't end there: take in the spiritual surroundings of Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, explore the different monuments and memorials at Bonaventure Cemetery, go on a hair-raising tour with a ghost and vampire tour, and learn about all things military at Webb Military Museum.
