Denver — 2 nights

Aptly nicknamed the "Mile-High City," Denver sits at an altitude of 1,600 m (5,280 ft) above sea level, located right where the Great Plains give way to the Rocky Mountains.
Your day by day itinerary now includes Escapology as well as Cherry Creek Trail. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Wine Tours & Tastings and Healing Waters Mind and Body Float Studio. Kirkland Museum of Fine & Decorative Art and Butterfly Pavilion and Insect Center are good opportunities to explore the local culture. There's more to do: explore the landscape on two wheels at Mount Falcon Castle Trail and learn the secrets of beer at a beer tour and tasting.

To see more things to do, reviews, photos, and more tourist information, go to the Denver visit planning app.

Austin to Denver is an approximately 3.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. The time zone difference moving from Central Standard Time (CST) to Mountain Standard Time (MST) is minus 1 hour. Traveling from Austin in May, you will find days in Denver are little chillier (66°F), and nights are cooler (43°F). Wrap up your sightseeing on the 23rd (Mon) to allow time to drive to Boulder.
