Eau Claire

Eau Claire is a city in Chippewa and Eau Claire counties in the west-central part of the U.S. Step off the beaten path and head to Carson Park and Paul Bunyan Logging Camp Museum. Get a sense of the local culture at Children's Museum of Eau Claire and Chippewa Valley Museum. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Eau Claire: Brunet Island State Park (in Cornell) and Menomonie (Hoffman Hills State Recreation Area, Devils Punchbowl, &more). There's lots more to do: walk around Phoenix Park, sample the tasty concoctions at Lazy Monk Brewing, take an in-depth tour of Chippewa Falls Museum of Industry and Technology, and do a tasting at River Bend Vineyard & Winery.

For ratings, photos, and more tourist information, read our Eau Claire trip planning tool.

In July, plan for daily highs up to 82°F, and evening lows to 60°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 19th (Sun) so you can travel back home.
