Gatlinburg

The Gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains

Nestled in the lush, wooded forests of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg is Tennessee’s premier mountain resort destination.
Bring the kids along to Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies and Parrot Mountain & Gardens. Get out of town with these interesting Gatlinburg side-trips: Cades Cove (in Great Smoky Mountains National Park) and River Rafting & Tubing (in Hartford). There's still lots to do: whizz through the canopy at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks, see the interesting displays at Titanic Museum Attraction, walk around Chimneys Picnic Area, and get in on the family fun at Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster.

To find more things to do, maps, where to stay, and other tourist information, you can read our Gatlinburg holiday maker website.

In April, daily temperatures in Gatlinburg can reach 72°F, while at night they dip to 49°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 10th (Fri) to allow time to travel back home.
