Great Smoky Mountains National Park

— 4 nights

A Wondrous Diversity of Life

Great Smoky Mountains National Park contains some of the highest mountains east of the Mississippi River, but it's the ease of access that makes this national park the United States' most visited.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Clingmans Dome and Foxfire Mountain Adventure Park. Visiting Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail and Cades Cove will get you outdoors. Step out of Great Smoky Mountains National Park to go to Asheville and see Biltmore, which is approximately 1h 15 min away. The adventure continues: stroll through Chimney Tops Trail, admire all the interesting features of Blue Ridge Pkwy, take in the dramatic scenery at Ramsey Cascades, and sample the fine beverages at Ole Smoky.

To find traveler tips, other places to visit, ratings, and more tourist information, go to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park trip planner.

Expect a daytime high around 86°F in June, and nighttime lows around 66°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 10th (Thu) to allow enough time to travel back home.
