Everglades National Park

A vast expanse of pristine wetlands, Everglades National Park holds the distinction of being the largest tropical wilderness in the U.S.Kick off your visit on the 17th (Wed): hike along Anhinga Trail, then stroll through Gumbo Limbo Trail, then steep yourself in history at Nike Missile Site HM-69, and finally identify plant and animal life at Nine Mile Pond Canoe Trail. On the next day, identify plant and animal life at Shark Valley Visitor Center.
