5 days in Houston Itinerary

Although urban sprawl remains synonymous with Houston, most of the city's tourist attractions lie within the relatively small downtown area, surrounded by diverse neighborhoods housing the nation's biggest African-American, Asian-American, and Latino communities.

Venture out of the city with trips to Galveston (1892 Bishop's Palace, The Seawall, &more), Kemah Boardwalk (in Kemah) and Pine Gully Park (in Seabrook). There's still lots to do: meet the residents at Houston Zoo, admire the sheer force of Water Wall, engage your brain at The Houston Museum of Natural Science, and see the interesting displays at Space Center Houston.
