Klamath is an unincorporated, rural, census-designated place in Del Norte County, California, situated on US Route 101 inland from the mouth of the Klamath River. Change things up with these side-trips from Klamath: Redwood National Park (in Redwood National Park), Crescent City (Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park, Stout Grove, & more) and Redwood Highway (in Eureka). And it doesn't end there: take a peaceful walk through Trees of Mystery, identify plant and animal life at Wildlife Images - Rehabilitation & Education Center, get engrossed in the history at Yurok Country Visitor Center, and enjoy the sand and surf at Wilson Creek Beach.

To see traveler tips, reviews, ratings, and other tourist information, you can read our Klamath road trip planning site .

In January in Klamath, expect temperatures between 56°F during the day and 42°F at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 5th (Sun) so you can travel back home.
