Burlington

— 4 nights
Burlington is the most populous city in the U.S. Get out of town with these interesting Burlington side-trips: Keeseville (Ausable Chasm & Mace Chasm Farm) and Country Dreams Farm (in Plattsburgh). There's lots more to do: stroll around Waterfront Park, sample some tasty brews at a beer tour and tasting, gain insight at University of Vermont, and get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at ECHO, Leahy Center for Lake Champlain.

To see more things to do, ratings, where to stay, and more tourist information, refer to the Burlington road trip website.

New York City to Burlington is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Expect a bit cooler temperatures when traveling from New York City in October; daily highs in Burlington reach 62°F and lows reach 44°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 12th (Mon) to allow enough time to travel back home.
