Saint Ignace

On your second day here, enjoy breathtaking views from Tower of History, then get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Museum Ship Valley Camp, then make a trip to Soo Locks, and finally get all the equipment you need at Bird's Eye Outfitters.

Traveling by ferry from Mackinac Island to Saint Ignace takes an hour. In August, plan for daily highs up to 72°F, and evening lows to 59°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 6th (Thu) to allow time to drive to Paradise.

Paradise is an unincorporated community in Whitefish Township, Chippewa County in the U.S. On the 7th (Fri), examine the collection at Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum, then explore the activities along Tahquamenon Falls, and then take in the dramatic scenery at Tahquamenon Falls State Park.
