Music City U.S.A.

Known as the capital of country music, the thriving city of Nashville combines old-world southern charm with a progressive urban flair.
Deepen your sense of the past at sights like McGavock Confederate Cemetery and Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park. Fort Donelson National Battlefield and Loretta Lynn's Ranch are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Venture out of the city with trips to Lynchburg Hardware and General Store (in Lynchburg), Cascade Hollow Distilling Co., Home of George Dickel (in Tullahoma) and Burgess Falls State Park (in Sparta). And it doesn't end there: stroll the grounds of Fort Donelson National Cemetery, do a tasting at Arrington Vineyards, examine the collection at Lane Motor Museum, and look for all kinds of wild species at Radnor Lake State Park.

For other places to visit, where to stay, ratings, and tourist information, refer to the Nashville tour itinerary planning website.

In July, daily temperatures in Nashville can reach 90°F, while at night they dip to 70°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 19th (Fri) to allow time to travel back home.
