Steeped in cultural and historical heritage, Philadelphia is known as the birthplace of U.S.
Kick off your visit on the 18th (Sun): pause for some photo ops at Liberty Bell Center, get engrossed in the history at National Museum of American Jewish History, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Christ Church, then steep yourself in history at Elfreth's Alley, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.

Visit Laura: Louisiana's Creole Heritage Site and Immaculate Conception Church for their historical value. Discover out-of-the-way places like Lake Lawn Metairie and Faubourg Marigny. Step out of New Orleans to go to Vacherie and see Oak Alley Plantation, which is approximately 1h 5 min away. There's much more to do: make a trip to French Quarter, appreciate the extensive heritage of Jackson Square, take a stroll through Garden District, and pause for some serene contemplation at Old St. Patrick's Church.
