Center of Fun in the Smokies

A tiny town with big tourist appeal, Pigeon Forge bills itself as the "Center of Fun in the Smokies." Just a short drive from the national park protecting the diverse plant and animal life of the Great Smoky Mountains, the town features numerous places to visit, such as bars, restaurants, cafes, theaters, and shops.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Rocky Top Mountain Coaster and Newfound Gap Road. Step out of Pigeon Forge with an excursion to Foothills Parkway Southwest Parking in Great Smoky Mountains National Park--about 40 minutes away. There's still lots to do: hike along Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail, appreciate the extensive heritage of Old Forge Distillery, examine the collection at Titanic Museum Attraction, and get in on the family fun at The Island in Pigeon Forge.

To find other places to visit, more things to do, where to stay, and more tourist information, you can read our Pigeon Forge route maker.

October in Pigeon Forge sees daily highs of 74°F and lows of 51°F at night.
