Little Island

With much of Culebra a nature refuge, the tropical island has been protected from overdevelopment, chain hotels, and the cruise set.
Start off your visit on the 22nd (Sun): kick back and relax at Flamenco Beach. On your second day here, kick back and relax at Playa Punta Soldado Beach, take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports, and then kick back and relax at Zoni Beach.

Jacksonville, USA to Culebra is an approximately 11-hour combination of train and flight. You can also fly. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from Jacksonville to Culebra. For sixty years until 2003, most of the Isla de Vieques was closed off to the public, with the US Navy using the island's beaches and surrounding waters for drills and testing of new military machinery, such as bombs.
Kick off your visit on the 24th (Tue): enjoy the sand and surf at Secret Beach (Pata Prieta), enjoy the sand and surf at La Chiva, and then paddle through the water with a kayaking and canoeing tour.
