Cary is the seventh-largest municipality in North Carolina. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Cary: Durham (Museum of Life + Science & Duke University Chapel) and University of North Carolina (in Chapel Hill). Next up on the itinerary: take in nature's colorful creations at Sarah P. Duke Gardens, walk around Pullen Park, see the interesting displays at North Carolina Museum of History, and get a new perspective on nature at North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.

Boston to Cary is an approximately 4.5-hour combination of flight and car. You can also drive. When traveling from Boston in July, plan for somewhat warmer days in Cary, with highs around 90°F, while nights are about the same with lows around 71°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 19th (Fri) to allow enough time to travel back home.
