As the state’s second largest city, San Antonio embodies Texas’ rich cultural heritage while maintaining the Old West charm of an oil town.
On the 16th (Fri), take in the architecture and atmosphere at San Fernando De Bexar Cathedral, then steep yourself in history at Mission San Jose, then make a trip to Main Plaza, and finally shop like a local with The San Antonio River Walk. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: explore the galleries of The Alamo, take in nature's colorful creations at San Antonio Botanical Garden, and then contemplate the long history of The Guenther House Museum.
