San Antonio — 4 nights

As the state’s second largest city, San Antonio embodies Texas’ rich cultural heritage while maintaining the Old West charm of an oil town.
Attractions like SeaWorld and Room Escape Games make great kid-friendly stops. Venture out of the city with trips to Austin (Congress Avenue Bridge Bat Watching, Barton Springs Pool, &more). There's much more to do: explore the fascinating underground world of Natural Bridge Caverns, get engrossed in the history at The Alamo, find something for the whole family at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, and learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at San Antonio Zoo.

To find more things to do, reviews, ratings, and other tourist information, go to the San Antonio trip planner.

Phoenix to San Antonio is an approximately 4-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. The time zone difference moving from Mountain Standard Time to Central Standard Time is 1 hour. In June, San Antonio is little chillier than Phoenix - with highs of 93°F and lows of 74°F. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 19th (Sun) to allow time for the flight back home.
